Childminding magazine - for all registered childminders in Scotland

The Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA) is the only dedicated support organisation in Scotland for registered childminding. SCMA is committed to the development needs of registered childminders and actively promotes registered childminding as a quality childcare choice.

Childminding is SCMA's quarterly magazine for members. Childminding is the medium through which information and advice about registered childminding is communicated.

Childminding is issued quarterly and circulated to around 6,000 members, the majority of whom are registered childminders. Through this circulation, Childminding has a potential readership of 18,000 as it is often passed to the parents of the minded children, who also benefit from its articles and advertisements.

Childminding covers numerous topics including child development, best practice in registered childminding, personal and home safety, health and wellbeing, equal opportunities, training, self-development, arts and crafts, literature and resources, food and hygiene.

In addition, SCMA dedicates around 10% of each issue of Childminding to advertise products and services, which fall into any of the above categories. The magazine is also suitable for advertising children's toys and equipment, labour/time saving devices, places to go, solicitors, business aids and other relevant items could be included depending on suitability.
