National Newspaper Advertising

Unlike regional newspaper advertising national newspaper advertising offers a vast geographically coverage for a number of different advert formats.

One of the main advantages to newspaper advertising on this scale is the ability to create simple or complicated copy and to have the advert displaying in the newspaper within days.

Although the shelf life of newspapers is usually limited, the overall impact of reaching an audience in a very laid back and attentive frame of mind is very attractive to many advertisers.

One of the advantages of print media is the way it captures the reader when they appear to have time on their hands - it seems that web advertising has not quite mastered this, as we are always in a rush for information when in front of a computer these days.

The advertising costs for newspapers do vary from a few pounds to thousands - the latter being for large display ads on centre spreads. The most popular ads however seem to within features or against specific editorial. In fact, most media now seems to match advertising with that of its surroundings in an effort to blend in. It seems that standing out is not the main objective these days.
